Not paying your ez-pass violations can result in your vehicle's registration being suspended. In NJ if you receive too many unpaid EZ-Pass Violations your vehicle's registration may be suspended by the MVC. Posted below is a simplified version of the law showing two ways your registration can be suspended without further notice being sent to you:

  1.  If you have unpaid tolls and fees of $500 or more within 3 years or
  2. You have 6 or more toll violations with at least one of the violations occurring after January 16, 2024.
